History

Marble Crafters was founded in 1982 by Robert Capoferri, who learned the art of working with natural stone from his stepfather, a marble mason. 

What started as a humble one-man operation quickly grew into an installation company with several crews tackling projects across Philadelphia in the mid 1980s. During this time, Robert made his first trip to the marble quarries of Italy, where he established relationships that still benefit our clients today. 

After years of expanding his knowledge, expertise, and industry connections, Robert opened Marble Crafters current fabrication facility. He combined his promising fabrication operation with his established installation company to provide a seamless end-to-end natural stone solution.

Over 40 years later, Marble Crafters works with the most celebrated high-end builders on the East Coast along with the region's premier architects and designers. The relationships Robert Capoferri built with quarry owners globally have been passed onto their third generation owners. It's these bonds, built over decades, that allow Marble Crafters to offer stone that no one else in America can.

BIO

Robert Capoferri serves as Chairman of Marble Crafters, Inc., a company he founded in 1988. Bob has served in a multitude of leadership positions throughout his career, including the Pennsylvania Department of General Services Selection Committee and Board Chair of the Pennsylvania Lawyers Fund for Client Security. Bob’s a recipient of the Business Achievement Award from the National Italian American Foundation and was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to serve as a Judge on the Pennsylvania Court of Judicial Discipline where he was elected by his colleagues to serve as President Judge to complete his term. Bob was also the Co-founder of the “Ed McLoughlin” Memorial Fund for Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia.
Kent Tyler
President/CEO

Kent Tyler has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in a variety of manufacturing organizations. His focus has been on overall business development with intense operational initiatives on business transformation, reorganization, new product design, and overall commercial strategy. Prior to his current role, Mr. Tyler served as President of REV Fire Group, a leading manufacturer of fire apparatus equipment worldwide. Throughout his career, Mr. Tyler has held numerous leadership/board roles with industry, community and business organizations. Kent holds a BS from Oklahoma State University and a MS from Missouri State University.
Dan Mauriello
Vice President of Operations

BIO

Dan joined our team in 2008 and currently holds the position of Vice President. He has over 30 years in the stone industry and is versed in all areas of the Marble Crafters organization. Dan is responsible for leading our field operations, including onsite management of projects from start through completion. He has spearheaded some of our most complicated stone projects in high end residential areas with a solution driven focus. Additionally, he obtained a certificate from Villanova as a Six Sigma Green Belt and has completed numerous courses on installation methods in the Stone Industry.
John Giungo
Vice President of Project Development

John Giungo, a seasoned professional with 40 years of diverse career experience, is the new Vice President of Project Development at Marble Crafters since 2023. With an extensive background in dimensional stone construction, design, drafting, sales, estimating, project management, and safety, John leads Marble Crafters in interior and exterior stone project design, fabrication, and installation. Collaborating with stakeholders, he prioritizes client value, to deliver maximum value. With a degree in Industrial Design and proficiency in computer-aided design, John's results-driven approach and unique blend of creativity and technical prowess make him a cornerstone in Marble Crafters' dimensional stone offerings.
Russ Dunlap
VP Project Management

Russell joined Marble Crafters in 2008 and currently directs the Design and Project Management team. He holds a BS in Business Management from The University Northern Colorado. His organization skills, attention to detail and his first-hand experience in various roles in Architecture and Construction over the years have helped shape his expertise in his current role.
Hal Forsyth
Project Site Supervisor

Mr. Forsyth possesses over 30 years of extensive construction and health & safety field experience in a wide range of commercial, residential and environmental construction projects. As an owner of several construction companies in the past Mr. Forsyth is responsible for conducting daily project management duties including, safety tailgate meetings, completing documentation/reporting, conducting site orientations, overseeing subcontractor safety, conducting medical monitoring, conducting safety evaluations, maintaining inventory control, providing training and determine the appropriate safety requirements for on-site workers. Moreover, Mr. Forsyth has significant experience providing specialized skills to unique program requirements, and knowledge in all aspects of the construction process. Mr. Forsyth is a “hands on” manager who prides himself on being readily accessible for each and every project.
Joe Giammona
Project Site Supervisor

In 1987, Joe embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by establishing his own business specializing in tile and stone installation. Seven years later, in 1994, he became a proud member of Local 7, specializing in tile, marble, and terrazzo. Over the course of 22 years with Local 7, Joe successfully managed projects at iconic buildings spanning New York and Connecticut. In 2010, Joe joined Marble Crafters as an associate, marking a new chapter in his career. By 2013, he had assumed the role of site supervisor, responsible for overseeing job locations across the Tri-state area. Certified as a Bridge Saw operator and skilled in Stone carving, Joe expertise lies in delivering quality craftsmanship and effective project management. With a rich background in both entrepreneurship and union membership, he brings a unique blend of experience to every project.

Senior Project Estimator

As the Senior Estimator at Marble Crafters, Rostin Eslambolchi brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to his role. With a degree in Construction Management from East Carolina University, Rostin has seamlessly blended academic knowledge with hands-on experience in the world of construction.

Purchasing Manager

Nicole Moppert, the Purchasing Manager at Marble Crafters, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Joining the company in 2011, Nicole has played a pivotal role in shaping the procurement strategy and ensuring the quality of materials for Marble Crafters. Her journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising and Design from the University of Delaware, laying a foundation for her keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail. Prior to her tenure at Marble Crafters, she initially ventured into the fast-paced realm of retail. Her journey included notable roles in sales and sales management at Nordstrom, where she honed her customer-centric approach and strategic thinking. Her dynamic background in both fashion and retail has undoubtedly contributed to her success in navigating and understanding the intricacies of different stones and further enhancing Marble Crafters' commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Mike DiCristino
Controller

Mike joined Marble Crafters as controller in 2023. He earned his BBA in Economics from Temple University’s Fox School of Business in 2001 and an MBA in Finance and Operations from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in 2006. His background includes more than 10 years in finance, including experience as an assistant controller with responsibility for R&M and capital projects for Starwood Hotels.

Project Accountant

Holding a Bachelor's degree from Penn State University, she has contributed significantly to the success of various projects, showcasing her proficiency in managing and optimizing project finances. Office Manager

Adrienne Capoferri has at Marble Crafters since 1982. During her initial six-years working, worked in various roles helping the company grow to what it is today. In 2020, she returned to Marble Crafters as Office Manager.
Jimmy Hoover
Director of Plant Operations

BIO

Jim, our Director of Plant Operations, joined Marble Crafters in 2007. After attending Strayer University, he has excelled in various roles, including Automation Supervisor, CAD, and 3D programming specialist. Jim's versatility also extends to machine operation, and he serves as the onsite IT Administrator. His dual proficiency in stone craftsmanship and technology enhances operational efficiency, making him an indispensable asset to our team.
Rick Bonsall
Facilities Manager

Rick joined Marble Crafters in 2007 and has ran the shop production for the last 5 years. Prior to joining Marble Crafters, he spent 20 years working in the airline industry in many positions, including operations and management. When he joined Marble Crafters, he was the automation supervisor, handling staff and machine production on the floor, while learning the marble industry, and advancing his position .
